I don&#039;t like the phrase, &quot;non-intervention trained women&quot; however because it sounds like we just stand there and watch babies die not intervening when a problem crops up. Indeed we are trained to recognize and nip complications in the bud, solving or transferring, before it turns into an emergency. The difference between the midwifery model and the medical model is not that we don&#039;t intervene, is that we don&#039;t intervene unnecessarily, because we believe in birth and don&#039;t feel the need to control it.</description>
